Mama loves her Ella.

it's just an ordinary saturday evening.  while daddy is at work, mama and ella are messing around with photo booth.

gabriella loves her baby gym.  her friends are an octopus, 2 monkeys, a lion, and freddie the firefly.  morning playtime is the best ;-)

Inquiring minds are dying to know...what's in my diaper bag.

lol.  i'm totally being sarcastic.  there are obviously more important things in this world to ponder, but as a new mom i was dying to know what other's packed.  so i figured i would share with you what's in mine.

you can see i use a large longchamp le pilage bag and a kf baby diaper bag organizer.  i have another bag (a fjallraven kanken backpack) that i usually keep in the car that has the frozen breast milk and more of the same items that i keep in this bag, just in case i need it.

in the first pocket i keep my wallet, sunglasses, and cellphone.
in the second pocket i keep a toy for distraction and an extra outfit.
in the third pocket is a bib and a burp cloth.
next, i keep a breast feeding cover.  although, i have yet to breast feed in public!  but you never know...
in the fourth pocket, i keep an aden + anais blanket
in the fifth pocket i keep an empty bottle and an extra pacifier.
lastly, in the side pocket of the bag, i keep tissue paper and hand sanitizer.

that's what's in my diaper bag.  what's in yours?

**addendum- i keep 2 to 3 diapers, wipes, and diaper cream in my skip hop pronto changer and place it  inside my bag as well. **

Roadtrippin'...for the first time.

a few weeks ago we packed up our bags and headed to san diego and los angeles for a few days.  baby girl is an awesome traveller.  we only stopped once on our drive to and from southern california!  i was totally expecting the worse, but was pleasantly surprised.  ella is a great travel companion.  we're already planning for our next family vacation.

we celebrated my niece's first birthday in san diego.  here she is opening her presents.

the park where we celebrated her birthday had a water park for the kids!

and while the kids played in the water, the men played basketball.

we also had some relaxing moments at home so that ella could get to know her cousins.

after a few days in san diego, we headed to los angeles.  here is ella in our hotel room checking out the bed.

and doing a little tummy time as well.

we were craving fore some ice cream and cookies so we headed to westwood and grabbed some...

before we headed back home, we had breakfast at porto's bakery where we indulged on potato balls, cheese rolls, and guava and cheese pastries.  yummy!

before we left our hotel, we took a rare family photo of all 3 of us.

and here is gabriella knocked out in her car seat ready to embark on the 6 hour drive back to the bay.
