Happy Weekend...

...and a happy 3 month birthday to my little munchkin.  well, actually she turned 3 months 3 days ago ;-)

we have a jam packed weekend ahead of us filled with lots of good eats.  there's goes my diet!  oh well, good food is always worth it.

stay tuned for a 3 month update on my little munch.  she's growing up so fast, we can hardly keep up.

Sunday funday at the Palace Hotel and the Japanese Tea Garden.

boy am i behind!  this is a post about a wonderful, sunny sunday 2 weeks ago.  my family of 3 met up with my in-laws and had a glutenous brunch at the palace hotel in san francisco.

her facial expression may not show it, but someone is excited for brunch ;-)

the food is spectacular at the palace hotel.  but i do love the atmosphere.

and who doesn't want to listen to a trio while stuffing themselves silly?

we then met up with my sis in-law and her family at the cherry blossom festival in san francisco.

we enjoyed a nice walk up a few notorious sf hills to get to our car.

then we continued onto the japanese tea garden.

someone got a little silly with auntie's sunglasses ;-)

oh, and she wore her salt water sandals!!!

before we knew it, it was time to head home.

it is COLD outside!  a whoppin' 47 degrees out and i have ice on my front lawn to prove it.  see?

i started feeling under the weather yesterday at work.  so i plan to take it easy today to nip this cold in the bud before i get really sick.  i've got a baby shower to attend and i plan on helping john's cousin with wedding stuff, so i HAVE to feel better.  just curious, what are your weekend plans?  well, whatever your plans may be, stay warm, stay dry, and don't get sick!  have a good one =)

i hope you have a great weekend.  i'm pretty certain part of your weekend will be watching the giants and the tigers.  my parents are coming over to watch the game tonight and i plan on treating them to yummy vietnamese food at ban tre. tomorrow i'll be heading over to the east bay for brunch with my girlfriends at a soul food joint.  so excited for that!!  i've been craving something sweet, so i plan on indulging tomorrow ;-)

john and i attended a greek and guatemalan wedding last week.  it was a blast!  the wedding was so beautiful and the bride and groom are seriously movie star material.

just in case you are wondering, i bought my dress at nordstrom in a size larger than i would normally wear and added the belt.  it was comfortable and it looked ok i thought.  remember when i posted about maternity clothes being ugly?  well, i ordered several maternity dresses from asos and they all let me down.  thank goodness for free shipping both ways!  i wore heels that night, but by the end of the night, my feet were killing me.  not sure if i'll be wearing heels to the next fancy affair john and i attend.  just curious, when did you stop wearing heels while pregnant?

this is a bad-ass lens.  for a whoppin' $849.00 on amazon, this seems like an unattainable purchase for me.  even if i start saving my pennies for this lens, could i really convince myself to actually buy it???  i don't think so!  but, i can still put it out there in the blogosphere as a wish list item...right...why not?

luckily for me, my in laws and sister and brother in law bought me this lens ;-)

good morning dear friends. it's friday and the weekend is almost here. i don't know how your work week went, but i am exhausted. i've worked every other day this week and it's going to continue until monday. when you work 12 hour shifts like i do, nothing seems worse...not even 4 days in a row.

on a brighter note, i spent a few days in good 'ol san francisco. the beauty of the tiny city never ceases to amaze me. however, as with all beautiful things, there is also a darker side of the city that one cannot ignore. but, i accept both sides of san francisco, the beauty part and the beast part...

do you have plans on going into san francisco this weekend? if you do, maybe you should stay clear of dolores park. have you heard? it got trashed on the fourth of july. but here is a photo i took of the park before dark when every single person i saw was having, what it appeared to be, the best time of their life. not sure if it was the alcohol or drugs talking...lol...but the energy of dolores park on the fourth of july was electrifying.

i hope you have an exciting, yet relaxing weekend. jam packed with naps, your favorite peeps, doggies, gastronomic adventures, the good 'ol outdoors, and some television to round things out a bit.

it's friday and i'm off. my niece, who also happens to be my goddaughter, slept over last night. tentative plans for us include: smoothies for breakfast, Brave AND Moonrise Kingdom (Brave-her pick, Moonrise Kingdom-my pick), and possibly a One Direction poster. boy bands never go out of style. lol.

Saturday is going to be spent at the hospital. but sunday will be spent celebrating the birth-day of my better half. the hubsters is turning 34, but doesn't look a day over 30. he can still run 7 miles like it's nothing, lift weights like he's popeye, and play basketball just for fun for a few hours, all in the same day. if that doesn't prove age ain't nothin' but a number, then i have no idea what will.

if your wondering what plans i have in store for the old guy, your guess is as good as mine. but i'm sure i'll post about it on this 'ol blog. so have a great weekend friends! i'd love to hear about your interesting weekend shenanigans...

the weather was chilly today in san francisco so i'm sure it's going to be much cooler this weekend than last. i don't know about you, but i personally like it on the cooler side. anything above 80 degrees is way too hot for me unless i'm on a beach or poolside. i only have two definate plans: (a) is to have dinner with my brother and parents since it was my brother's 28th birthday on thursday and (b) some thesis writing. do you have any exciting plans?
